Gutfeld made his argument during a recent segment of The Five.
“I don’t question the diagnosis at all,” Gutfeld said. “I just questioned the timing of it.”
He later added:
But now you have polling that shows that [Biden is] less popular than getting punched in the face. So, there could be a reason for a lot of this, that they’re just trying to hide him, because that’s the only thing that works and perhaps maybe to generate some sympathy next week, they’re going to say you know, “he has fibroids” because, as you know, men can get pregnant.
He’s positive
Biden’s positive COVID diagnosis was revealed on Thursday. The president is said to be experiencing mild symptoms, including a dry cough, fatigue, and a runny nose.
For treatment, Biden is taking the antiviral medication Paxlovid. This is despite the fact that Biden is vaccinated and boosted.
Regarding his presidential duties, Biden is said to still be carrying them out, but in isolation.
The president is missing
What Gutfeld was alluding to is the fact that the White House appears to be keeping Biden in hiding ever since his coronavirus diagnosis. Biden has not been seen in public ever since Thursday morning’s announcement.
The White House, though, has released what appears to be carefully selected videos and photos of Biden on social media.
In one video, Biden delivers a message in which he claims to be confident about his health. “I’ve been double vaccinated, double boosted, the symptoms are mild,” Biden said, adding, “I’m doing well, I’m getting a lot of work done, I’m going to continue to get it done.”
In other tweets, Biden is photographed working. In one, for example, the caption states, “Yesterday, I signed the FORMULA Act into law – a bipartisan bill that will help increase access to baby formula for families across the country.”
Gutfeld might be on to something here. There appears to be a concerted effort at the moment to keep Biden out of public view.
