From what I heard from Chinese friends:
– Xi abruptly returned from meetings with Russia. Skipping both the dinner and photo op.
– After returning to China he hasn’t been seen (not as clear on this detail).
– didn’t attend some military conference that he normally attends each year very recently
– a member (I’ll call him Bob) who had voiced opposition to Xi had previously been replaced (someone else appointed to his position by Xi)
– this member Bob, did show up too the previously mentioned military conference.
– furthermore Bob may have shown up under the role he was previously removed from by Xi.
– finally some really old (100+) important guy recently voiced dissent against Xi’s COVID policies.
